Anyone who has worn an ill-fitting bra or the wrong bra size knows that doing so can ruin an otherwise flawless outfit. Or worse, an entire day. (Breast pain and backache that can come with large breasts are nothing to joke about.) The solution is finding and investing in a bra that provides you with the right cut, fit, and size. We have got you covered!

Here are a few telltale signs that you may not be wearing the right bra size: wrinkling in the cups, underwire poking the sides of your breasts, a band that rides up, cup spillage, slipping straps, or a bra that hikes up when you lift your arms. When you’re trying on bras, the first thing to consider is the bra band. Is it too tight? Does it ride up? Try it on the loosest hooks; if it doesn’t sit firmly and horizontally across your back, you’ve probably picked up the wrong size – even if it is your usual. Adjusting your size can help you find the best fit – so go up or down a band size as necessary.

Learning how to measure bra size can feel uncomfortable, but knowing your measurements is a vital to finding the perfect fit for you. Equipment for measuring bra size is minimal: All you need is a tape measure and a little free time, and you'll have saved yourself a lot of bra-shopping misery. Best of all, knowing how to measure your bust will make adjusting to changes in your breasts (from losing or gaining weight, hormone fluctuations, aging, pregnancy, and more) so much less stressful.

Ladies, we at WildRose Lingerie guarantee our bra will provide comfortable fit and function better than you have ever experienced but please be sure to measure your true size before ordering. Our bra is designed to fit your true measurements therefore please refer to our measuring guide before ordering.

Fitting Guide

To determine your bra size, follow the instructions below;

UNDERBUST: Best done against the skin, without your bra on. Wrap the tape where your bra band would normally sit and measure the circumference of your rib cage.

OVERBUST: Best done with your bra on and measure over the fullest part of the breast. Remember to relax and don't hold your breath as this will change your measurement.

To calculate your basic bra size grab a tape measure while still wearing a normal bra (one without padding or push-up features). Please note, that this will give you an approximate size only.

Signs of an ill-fitting bra:

  • Underwire feels uncomfortable
  • Straps feel too tight, or too loose
  • Bulging over the cups
  • Bra strap rides up at the back
  • Centre front is too loose or digs in
